Autism Speaks

controversial non-profit organisation in the USA for families of autistic people

Autism Speaks is an organization that works for a cure for autism. It was founded in February 2005 by Bob and Suzanne Wright. Their earlier groups were Cure Autism Now (founded in 1995)[1] and the National Alliance for Autism Research (founded in 1994).

Autism Speaks is a controversial network. It views autism as a disease. This has caused controversy in the autistic community.[2]
