Awanui
locality in Far North District, Northland Region, New Zealand
Awanui is a settlement in the Far North District, New Zealand and lies on the banks of the Awanui River. It is located 7 kilometers north of Kaitaia. The State Highways of 1 and 10 intersect in the settlement with State Highway 1 the gateway to Cape Reinga and State Highway 10 to the Bay of Islands. It has two schools located in the settlement.
