Awsha bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi

Awsha bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi (1920 - 27 July 2018), was a pioneer Emirati poet. She was nicknamed Girl of the Gulf. She was born in the Muwaiji area in the city of Al Ain. She lived in Dubai. She retired from poetry in the late nineties and continued to narrate her poems in praise of Mohamad. She was the sister of politician Ahmed Bin Khalifa Al Suwaidi

Her poems were published in many newspapers, magazines, and audiobooks. Her work was collected in Arab Girl Diwan in 1990.
