BYD e6
The BYD e6 is an electric vehicle produced by BYD Auto, a Chinese car company, starting in 2009. The vehicle has been used in different countries as a taxi and for other fleet services. The first models were tested in Shenzhen, China [1] in 2010. Sales began in the same city in 2011, later than expected.

The first-generation BYD e6 was produced from 2009 to 2021. This version featured a battery that could last for 300 to 400 kilometers on a single charge, depending on the model. The car had options for a single motor or dual motors, which allowed for either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The battery pack was designed with lithium iron phosphate.
The e6 was popular as an electric taxi in China. In April 2011, BYD reported that its e6 taxi fleet in Shenzhen had accumulated a total of around 1,730,000 miles (2,780,000 km). It also gained popularity in other markets like Europe and the United Kingdom, where it was used for taxi and fleet services. Additionally, it was sold in some Southeast Asian markets, including Thailand Singapore and the Philippines.

The second generation of the BYD e6 started production in 2021. This updated version continues to use electric power with improvements in range and efficiency. It is designed with a more advanced powertrain and enhanced battery systems The second generation also features updated technology and design.
The second-generation e6 has expanded its market presence, The car continues to be sold in China and started getting popular in international markets. It is now available in Europe, including countries like the United Kingdom and Norway, Additionally, it has been introduced to markets in the Middle East and Latin America, and This model is also sold in some Southeast Asian markets.
