Bafoussam

Bafoussam is a city in Cameroon. It is the capital and largest city of the West Region, in the Bamboutos Mountains. In 2019, about 600,000 people lived in the urban area.
The city is the region's center of trade. Coffee, tobacco and tea are grown here. It has also a coffee processing facility and brewery. The city is the home of the Bamileke people.
It has three communes: Commune of Bafoussam I (Bafoussam), Commune of Bafoussam II (Baleng) and Commune of Bafoussam III (Bamougoum).
