Baked potato

potato dish

A baked potato, known in some parts of the United Kingdom (though not generally Scotland) as a jacket potato,[1][2] is a preparation of potato originating from South America, specifically Peru.[3] It is done by using an oven to cook the potato. Some potato types are better for baking than others.[4] Fillings and toppings might be added to it, such as baked beans, tuna, and cheese.
