Bendiks Cazemier
Bendiks Walter Cazemier (5 January 1931 – 28 December 2024) was a Dutch politician. He was a member of the Christian Historical Union and later Christian Democratic Appeal.

Cazemier was born in Stavoren in 1931. His father Otto Samuel Cazemier was a predikant there. In 1931 the family moved to Dalfsen where he grew up.[1] His uncle was Henne Wiebe Cazemier was also predikant in various Frisian municipalities.[2]
He started his career in Zwollerkerspel in 1950. He worked for various municipalities and was among othes civil servant of the municipal secretariat and chief clerk. He was the mayor of IJlst from 1964 to 1970 and the mayor of Wymbritseradiel from 1970 to 1984. In 1984, the municipalities of IJlst and former Wymbritseradiel merged into the municipality of Wymbritseradiel during a municipal reorganization. Cazemier became mayor of the newly formed municipality until 1993.[3] He held various secondary positions and was among others, chairman of the Friese Wildschadecommissie (translated: Frisian Game Damage Commission) and secretary of the central board of Talma Rustoorden.[4] From 1993 to 1994 he was acting mayor of Ameland.[2][5]
Cazemier died in Sint Nicolaasga on 28 December 2024, at the age of 93 years old.[5][6]
