Blanchard is a city in Oklahoma in the United States. From the 2020 census, 8,879 people live in Blanchard. Blanchard is in a area that is growing fast, named the "Tri-City Area".
History
changeBlanchard was made by the Canadian Valley Construction Company, and named after William G. "Bill" Blanchard. Blanchard was made because they wanted to make a railroad, witch was started by the Canadian Valley Construction Company, and finished by Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway.[1] The town was fully made after selling off land 3 times. The Blanchard post office was made in 1906, and a court room came in 1909.
