Blas Calzada Terrados

Spanish economist

Blas Calzada Terrados (8 June 1937 – 17 February 2018), was a Spanish economist. He was born in Valladolid, Spain. He served as Chairman of Instituto Nacional de Estadística from 1977 through 1979. He later served as President of Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores from 2001 through 2004.[1]

Calzada Terrados was one of the founders of the economy magazine Cambio 16. Later he held the chairmanship of the Technical Advisory Committee of the IBEX 35 (CAT) [2] and president of the La Salle Innovation Park.

Calzada Terrados died of stomach cancer in Madrid on 17 February 2018 at the age of 80.[3]
