Bob Gunton
American film, television and stage actor
Robert Patrick "Bob" Gunton, Jr. (born November 15, 1945) is an American actor. He is known for playing strict, authoritarian characters and villains. He is best known for his role as the cruel "Warden Samuel Norton" in the 1994 movie The Shawshank Redemption.

Gunton was born on November 15, 1945 in Santa Monica, California.[1] He studied at Mater Dei High School and at University of California, Irvine. Gunton was married to Annie McGreevey from 1980 until they divorced in 2006. He has been married to Carey Pitts since 2006. He has one child with McGreevey.
