Australian racing driver and entrepreneur (1929-2018)

Robert Frederick Jane (18 December 1929 – 28 September 2018) was an Australian race car driver and businessman. He won the Armstrong 500 four times, the race that became the famous Bathurst 1000, and was a four-time Australian Touring Car Champion. He later founded the successful tyre retailer, Bob Jane T-Marts. He was born in Melbourne, Victoria.

Jane died after a 21-year struggle with prostate cancer on 28 September 2018. He was 88.[1]
