Bogdan Józef Wojtuś

Polish bishop and theologian

Bogdan Józef Wojtuś[1] (4 July 1937 – 20 October 2020) was a Polish Roman Catholic prelate. He was an auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Gniezno from 1988 until 2012. He was born in Łąsko Wielki, Poland.[2]

Pope John Paul II appointed him Titular Bishop of Vassinassa on November 17, 1993, and Auxiliary Bishop of Gniezno. On September 15, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI accepted his resignation request made for reasons of age.[3]

Wojtuś died on 20 October 2020 from COVID-19 in Poznań, Poland at the age of 83.[4]
