The Borkou region is a region of Chad. Its capital is Faya-Largeau. It was created in 2008 from the Borkou department of the former Borkou-Ennedi-Tibesti region.

Borkou is in the Sahara Desert. It has parts of the Tibesti Mountains in its north. The highest point in Chad, Emi Koussi, is in Borkou.[1]

The region is divided into 2 departments - Borkou (capital Faya-Largeau) and Borkou Yala (capital Kirdimi).
