The club has a historic season in 2017 when the qualified for the Copa Sudamericana for the first time ever. They were eliminated by Paraguayan club Cerro Porteno in the second round. The following season they also qualified for the same cup, this time being eliminated by Banfield in the same round, after beating Jaguares de Cordoba 4-2 on aggregate. [1]
