Bruce Kent

British political activist

Bruce Kent (22 June 1929 – 8 June 2022) was a British political activist and former Roman Catholic priest. He was known for his role and activism with Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND). He was the organisation's general secretary from 1980 to 1985 and its chair from 1987 to 1990.[1] In 1960 he joined the Christian Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.[2]

In 1992, Kent was a candidate for the Labour Party in the constituency of Oxford West and Abingdon, where he came third.

Kent died on 8 June 2022 at the age of 92.[3][4]
