Venezuelan bishop (1951-2021)
Càstor Oswaldo Azuaje Pérez (19 October 1951 – 8 January 2021) was a Venezuelan Roman Catholic bishop. He became a priest in 1975.
Azuaje Pérez was titular bishop of Vertara and as auxiliary bishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Maracaibo, Venezuela, from 2007 to 2012. He then was bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Trujillo, Venezuela, from 2012 until his death.[1]
Azuaje Pérez died from COVID-19 at the age of 69 on 8 January 2021 in Valera, Trujillo.[2]
