The COVID-19 pandemic was confirmed to have reached Haiti in March 2020. As of 12 May 2020, there are 209 total confirmed cases, 176 active cases, 1,311 suspected cases, with 16 deaths and 17 recoveries.[4]

Cases
changeOn 19 March, the first two COVID-19 cases in the country were confirmed.[5]
On 5 April, the country confirmed its first death from COVID-19.[6][7]
Response
changeOn 16 March, at midnight local time, Haiti's Prime Minister, Joseph Jouthe, announced a two-week suspension of flights from Europe, Canada, the Dominican Republic, and Latin America.[8]
