Cabo Anselmo

Brazilian military officer

José Anselmo dos Santos (13 February 1942 – 15 March 2022), known as Cabo Anselmo ("Corporal Anselmo"), was a Brazilian military officer. He was the leader of the Sailors' Revolt, which started the 1964 Brazilian coup d'état.[1]

Anselmo died on 15 March 2022 at a hospital in Jundiaí, Brazil from problems caused by a kidney infection, one month after his 80th birthday.[2]
