Carmel Sepuloni
New Zealand politician
Carmel Jean Sepuloni (born 1977)[1] is a New Zealand politician who was the Deputy Prime Minister of New Zealand from January 2023 until November 2023. She is a member of parliament for the Labour Party. She was first elected to Parliament in 2008. She is New Zealand's first MP of Tongan descent.

On 22 January 2023, incoming Prime Minister Chris Hipkins announced that Sepuloni would be his pick for Deputy Prime Minister.[2]
