American film and television production company

Castle Rock Entertainment is an American movie and television company. It was founded in 1987. It is a part of Time Warner's Warner Bros. Rob Reiner, Alan Horn, Andrew Scheinman, Martin Shafer and Glenn Padnick founded the company.

Reiner named the company after the fictional Maine town used in Stephen King stories.

In August 1993, the Turner Broadcasting System agreed to join with Castle Rock, along with New Line Cinema.[1] The sale was completed on December 22, 1993.

Castle Rock became a division of Warner Bros. in 1996.
