expression of strong disapproval or harsh criticism

A censure is a way of showing strong disapproval or harsh criticism.[1]

In parliamentary procedure, it is a debatable main motion that could be adopted by a majority vote. Sometimes a political party (national or state level) can vote to censure a politician.[2]
