Chaeryeong

South Korean singer

Lee Chae-ryeong (Korean: 이채령; born June 5, 2001), known mononymously as Chaeryeong (Korean: 채령), is a South Korean singer and dancer. She is a member of the South Korean girl group Itzy, formed by JYP Entertainment in 2019.[1][2]

Early Life

Chaeryeong was born on June 5, 2001 in Yongin, South Korea. She attended Hanlim Multi Art School, majoring in the Department of Practical Dance.

Career

2013–2015: Pre-debut

In 2013, Chaeryeong appeared as a contestant during the third season of K-Pop Star 3 with her sister Lee Chae Yeon. In 2015, she joined JYP Entertainment as a trainee after participating in the company's survival show Sixteen.

On January 20th, 2019, she was revealed to be a member of Itzy.

2019–present: Itzy

Chaeryeong officially debuted with Itzy in February 2019 with the release of the music video for Dalla Dalla and single album It'z Different.[1]
