Chuck Brown
American guitarist, bandleader and singer (1936-2012)
Charles Louis Brown (aka Chuck Brown; August 22, 1936 – May 16, 2012) was an American musician and guitarist. He performed R&B and funk music. He was with the group Soul Searchers. That group had several notable songs. The song "Ashley's Roachclip" has a drum break which was sampled in the songs of others, including Milli Vanilli, PM Dawn and Duran Duran.
Brown was born in Gaston, North Carolina. He died of serious heart issues and multiple organ failure at 75.
