Clint Barton (Marvel Cinematic Universe)
Clinton Francis Barton, also known as Hawkeye, is a fictional character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, he made his first appearance in Thor (2011), where he was played by Jeremy Renner. Renner later returned in the movies The Avengers (2012), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016) and Avengers: Endgame (2019), and the TV series What If...? (2021–present) and Hawkeye (2021).[1]

Working as a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Barton is sent to kill Natasha Romanoff, but he becomes friends with her and she joins S.H.I.E.L.D. Barton becomes an Avenger in the Battle of New York. He also takes part in the Avengers Civil War, siding with Steve Rogers, resulting in him being placed on house arrest. After his family dies in the Blip, Barton becomes a vigilante known as the Ronin. He rejoins the Avengers in the mission to go back in time to get the Infinity Stones and his family returns after Bruce Banner snaps his fingers. He later trains Kate Bishop.
