Constituencies of Denmark

constituencies used for elections to the Folketing

Constituencies (Danish: valgkredse) in Denmark are used for elections to the Folketing (the unicameral parliament of Denmark) and elections to the European Parliament.

A map of the 12 current Folketing constituencies.

The Folketing has 12 multi-member constituencies, 10 of which represent a region of Denmark proper and the remaining two representing the Faroe Islands and Greenland. Denmark has one multi-member European Parliament constituency, which represents all of Denmark proper. The Faroe Islands has never been in the European Union, and Greenland left the European Union in 1985.
