Cornelia Cole Fairbanks

Cornelia "Nellie" Cole Fairbanks was the wife of Charles W. Fairbanks from 1874,^[1] who served as the 26th Vice President of the United States of America from 1905 to 1909 during United States President Theodore Roosevelt's term. During her husband's tenure she held the unofficial position at the time as Second Lady of the United States. She was born on January 14th, 1852, in Marysville, Ohio.^[2]

She died on October 24th, 1913, in Indianapolis, Indiana.^[2] She was buried at the Crowne Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery in Indianapolis. She had five children. Her children were Adelaide, Robert, Richard, Frederick, and Warren. She studied at Ohio Wesleyan University and Ohio Wesleyan Female College once it merged with Ohio Wesleyan University in 1877 in Delaware, Ohio.^[3]
