Dafydd ap Llywelyn

13th-century Welsh monarch

Dafydd ap Llywelyn (c. April 1212 – 25 February 1246) was Prince of Gwynedd from 1240 to 1246. He claimed the title Prince of Wales. Henry III accepted that he ruled Gwynedd, but not more. Henry forced him to accept that he did not rule outside Gwynedd.[1]
