Dairy Flat
locality in New Zealand
Dairy Flat is a suburb of Auckland, 28 kilometers north of the city centre and 8 kilometers south of Orewa. Until the early 1990s most the district produced the most dairy farms 40 to 60 hectares (100 to 150 acres). The growth of Auckland city saw the Northern Motorway on State Highway 1 reduced to grazing sheep, horses, beef cattle or deer. It has a small village shopping centre and primary school that was established in 1878.
