Dale Danks
American politician
Alney Dale Danks Jr.[1] (August 27, 1939 – June 9, 2021)[2] was an American Republican politician and lawyer. He was the Mayor of Jackson, Mississippi from 1977 to 1989.[3][4] Until 1995, he was a member of the Democratic Party.
Danks died as a result of a stroke on June 9, 2021 in Jackson at the age of 81.[5]
Biography change
He first became the mayor of Jackson, Mississippi, in 1977. He was a Democrat at that time.[6] In 1981, he won the election to be the mayor of Jackson again.[7] In 1989 he lost the mayor office to J. Kane Ditto.[8]
