Death Race 2 is a 2010 American science fiction action movie directed by Roel Reiné and written by Tony Gigilo and Paul W. S. Anderson, and second installment in the Death Race movie series. The movie is a prequel to Death Race (2008), and tells about the origin of Frankenstein, and how the name Death Match changed to Death Race.
The movie was released on direct-to-video on December 27, 2010. A sequel, Death Race 3: Inferno, was released in direct-to-video on January 22, 2013.
