Deng Shu
Chinese oil painter (1929-2023)
Deng Shu (Chinese: 邓澍; 1929 – 20 January 2023) was a Chinese oil painter. She painted many works for the Communist Party of China. Both Deng Shu and her husband Hou Yimin participated in the design of the RMB.[1] She was professor of the Mural Painting Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts.[2][3][4][5][6]

Her husband Hou Yimin died on 1 January 2023.[7] Deng died later the same month in Changping District on 20 January 2023, at the age of 93.[2][1]
