Denis Farkasfalvy
American-Hungarian theologian
Denis Farkasfalvy (23 June 1936 – 20 May 2020) was a Hungarian-American Roman Catholic priest, theologian and monk. He was of the Cistercian Order.
Farkasfalvy was the chaplain to the School Sisters of Namur. He was made Headmaster of Cistercian Prep in 1969 and ran it for 12 years. He also taught several courses at university level at the University of Dallas. He was abbot from 1988 to 2012. Under his leadership, the abbey built a new and monumental church in the trademark Cistercian style.
Farkasfalvy died of COVID-19 on 20 May 2020 in Irving, Texas, aged 83.[1]
