Dioxane
group of isomers
(Not to be confused with Dioxin)
Dioxane can be the following (molecules or) chemical compounds:
- 1,2-dioxane
- 1,3-dioxane
- 1,4-dioxane; It is an ether, a kind of organic compound (which is a kind of chemical). The National Toxicology Program says [that there is reason to believe, that the chemical can cause cancer in people, or it is] "reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen".[1] The IARC says that the chemical is possibly carcinogenic to humans because it is a known carcinogen in other animals.[2]
