Dmitri Borgmann

author and logologist (1927-1985)

Dmitri Borgmann (1927 - 1985) was the man who created the sentence "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo". He published the sentence in his book "Beyond Language".[1] The sentence was later used by William J. Rapaport who was a professor in the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. [2] The sentence has had a recent resurgence on the internet.

Borgmann has a Jewish background and was born in Berlin. He fled with his parents to the United States in the 1930s.
