Dorian Gray (actress)
Maria Luisa Mangini (February 2, 1928 – February 16, 2011) was an Italian actress that mostly acted in movies. She is more commonly known by the stage name Dorian Gray. She was one of the Italian theater's most famous actresses. In the 1950s and 1960s, she devoted herself to the cinema. Mainly she played the role of the femme fatale. However, she proved to be a talented actress interpreting also a dramatic role in Michelangelo Antonioni's Il grido with great critical acclaim. In 1957, at the top of her popularity, she also took part in the Oscar-winning movie The Nights of Cabiria. She retired from acting in 1965, after becoming pregnant with her son. In 2011, she committed suicide by shooting herself, fourteen days after her 83rd birthday.[1]
