East Midlands Ambulance Service

UK public sector ambulance service for the East Midlands region of England (1999-2006 & 2006- )

The East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust runs emergency medical services, urgent care and patient transport services for about 4.8 million people in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire (except Glossop, Hadfield and Tintwistle), Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire. It was started in 1999.

About 3,290 people work for it in more than 70 places.

In 2011 it had the worst performance in England after some bad weather.[1]
