Elena "Lena" Mukhina ((1924-11-21)21 November 1924 – 5 August 1990(1990-08-05) (aged 65)), was a Russian diarist and Holocaust survivor who wrote a journal during the Siege of Leningrad, describing her experiences, hunger, being forced to eat her pet cat, and the deaths of her family members. She evacuated from the besieged Leningrad in June 1942, and lived in the capital Moskva (Moscow) until her death in 1990.
