Emīlija Krūmiņa

Emīlija Valija Krūmiņa (born c. 1900s) was a Latvian track and field athlete. She was specialized in the middle-distance, but also competed in the 400 metres sprint and high jump. She was a pioneer in Latvian women's athletics active during the 1920s, the early era of women's athletics.[1]

Krumina was one of the four athletes who represented Latvia at the 1926 Women's World Games in Gothenburg.[2] Krūmiņa was the flag bearer for Latvia during the opening ceremony.[3] She competed in the 1000 metres event.[4]

In 1928 she was the best Latvian athlete in the 1000 meters with a time of 3:27.9. Her 400 metres in 1928 was 1:07.6, with only Julija Khmizovska being faster. She was with a height of 1.35 meters in the high jump ranked third behind Julija Khmizovska and Smurge.[5]
