Evloghios (Hessler)

Evloghios (Hessler) was a German-born Italian religious figure.

Evloghios (Hessler) (February 21, 1935 – January 20, 2019) was a German-born Italian religious figure. He was the Archbishop of Milan and Longobardia from 1990 until his death in 2019. He was Orthodox Metropolitan of Aquileia and Western Europe and Primate of the Holy Synod of Milan.

Evloghios died of complications from a stroke in Milan on January 21, 2019 at the age of 83.[1]
