False balance
media bias in which journalists present an issue as being more balanced between opposing viewpoints than the evidence supports
False balance is when journalists try to avoid bias by bringing up every opinion anyone has and accidentally imply that opinions while have nothing to do with evidence are normal disagreements to have, even when they are not.
