Farid Ahmed Naik (born May 5, 1996) is an Indian social worker and journalist from the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Career

Farid Ahmed Naik began his career in social work in 2011 by founding the District Rural Youth Welfare Association (DRYWA), an NGO dedicated to addressing community issues and advocating for the rights of people in the Chenab region.[1] He has organized numerous protests and initiatives to address local concerns.[2]

In late 2018, Naik entered the field of journalism to further his advocacy work and highlight community issues. By 2023, he became the executive editor of the The Chenab Times, where he continues to champion local causes.[3][4]
