Farley Mowat

Canadian writer and environmentalist (1921–2014)

Farley McGill Mowat (May 12, 1921 – May 6, 2014) was a Canadian author and environmentalist. He wrote many famous Canadian novels such as People of the Deer (1952) and Never Cry Wolf (1963).[1]

Mowat was born in Belleville, Ontario. He studied at the University of Toronto. Farley Mowat died on May 6, 2014 in Port Hope, Ontario, less than one week before his 93rd birthday.[2]
