Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Building
former federal ministry of (West) Germany (1949–1998), responsible for construction, housing, urban development and regional planning
The Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Building (German: Bundesministerium für Wohnen, Stadtentwicklung und Bauwesen, pronounced [ˈbʊndəsminɪsˌteːʁiʊm fyːɐ̯ ˈvoːnən ˈʃtatʔɛntˌvɪklʊŋ ʊnt ˈbaʊ̯ˌveːzn̩] (listen)), abbreviated BMWSB, is a cabinet-level ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany. It is headquartered in Berlin. The current minister is Klara Geywitz,[1] of the Social Democratic Party. The Federal Ministry existed between 1949 and 1998 and was re-established in December 2021.
