Summary

Description

Ball-and-stick model of an atorvastatin molecule, C33H35FN2O5, based on the crystal structure of bis(μ-atorvastatinate)-bis(atorvastatinate)-tetrakis(ethylene glycol)-di-calcium ethylene glycol solvate, reported in Cryst. Growth Des. (2016) 16, 7198-7204 (CSD entry IZOQIZ). The structure of the atorvastatinate carboyxlate ion has been modified to create this image by adding a hydrogen.

Colour code:

Carbon, C: grey
Hydrogen, H: white
Fluorine, F: yellow-green
Nitrogen, N: blue
Oxygen, O: red
Model manipulated in Avogadro 1.2 and image generated in CCDC Mercury 3.8.
