Object history
Deutsch: Im Schultheißenamtsstempel von 1930 sind erstmals die von der Archivdirektion Stuttgart bereits im Jahre 1912 vorgeschlagenen beiden „redenden" Wappenfiguren belegt. Der Wellenbalken als das heraldische Symbol für fließende Gewässer bezieht sich auf die Endsilbe des Gemeindenamens. Nachdem ursprünglich im blauen Schild auf silbernem Wellenbalken zwei natürlich gefärbte Eschen dargestellt worden waren, erfolgte im Jahre 1958 eine heraldische Verbesserung, die das jetzige Wappen ergab. Diese Änderung ist vom Innenministerium anlässlich der Flaggenverleihung am 16. Februar 1959 bestätigt worden.
