Object history
Deutsch: Oberthulba gehörte zum würzburgischen Amt Trimberg. Konrad und sein Sohn Albrecht von Trimberg trugen 1226 Amt und Schloss Trimberg dem Hochstift Würzburg zu Lehen auf, die endgültige Übergabe erfolgte 1292 durch Konrad IV. von Trimberg. Der fränkische Rechen (die drei gekürzten silbernen Spitzen in Rot) sowie der Bischofsstab erinnern an die lang währende Zugehörigkeit zum Hochstift Würzburg. Das Johanneskreuz weist auf die Pfarrkirche in Oberthulba hin, die Johannes dem Täufer geweiht ist. Der Wellenbalken stellt die Lage der Gemeinde am Fluss Thulba dar.
