Object history
Deutsch: Die Verbindung von Schrägbalken und Wellenbalken versinnbildlicht das Zusammentreffen von Straße und Fluss und verweist zugleich auf den Namensbestandteil -furt. Die zwei Sterne stehen als Mariensymbol für die Pfarrkirche Mariä Heimsuchung im Wappen. Die Farben Silber und Blau im Wellenbalken und im Feld bringen die enge historische Verbindung des heutigen Gemeindegebiets (einschließlich der bis 1972 selbstständigen Gemeinde Huldsessen) mit den wittelsbachischen Landesherren zum Ausdruck. Die Mehrzahl der Anwesen unterstand unmittelbar dem Landgericht Eggenfelden (Ämter Eggenfelden und Massing).
