  • 2010-03-14 17:30 Snow storm in Eastern Asia 859×590× (585521 bytes) I took a picture of the grey and white Intercity Mk1 carnage at[[Crewe]] [[Goodsyard]] during 2001. The aging [[British Railways Mark 1|Mark 1 carriages ]] were being phased out at the time of privatisation due to safety concerns. The carriage [[superstructures]] detached from their [[underframes]] on impact and disintegrated in the collision. [[Virgin Trains]] were one of the first to scrap them in the [[1990's]], while [[Arriva Trains Wales]] still use 5 help fill in for broken stock on North Coast services.
