English: view of Landau (Pfalz), Germany Deutsch: Rathausplatz Landau in der Pfalz mit Blick auf das ehemalige gotische, städtische "Alte Kaufhaus" mit zeittypischem Staffel-(Treppen)giebel au dem 15. Jahrhundert. Im Erdgeschoß waren vormals Woll-, Safran- und Fruchtwaagen sowie Eichgeräte aufgestellt. Architekt August von Voit gestaltete 1838/39 eine bauliche Sanierung. Über eine imposante Außentreppe erreichte man vormals einen Tanzsaal. Nach nochmaliger Sanierung wird es heute als "Kulturzentrum Altstadt" genutzt. Rechts im Bild: Geschäftshaus Kronstraße 6 mit modernisiertem Landenausausbau eines Textilfachgeschäftes und teilweise erhaltener Fassade des Historismus. |
