Deutsch: Südostansicht des Hauptplatzes der niederösterreichischen Stadtgemeinde Retz.
Der große, rechteckige Platz hat eine Fläche von ca. 1,2 ha. Das ehemalige Rathaus ist der Mittelpunkt. Ursprünglich als gotische Kirche gebaut, blieb sie unvollendet und wurde Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts zu einem Rathaus mit Rathausturm umgebaut. Weitere bedeutende Bauwerke am Hauptplatz sind das 1576 errichtete Sgraffitohaus, das Verderberhaus (erbaut 1577-1583), die 1744/45 errichtete Dreifaltigkeitssäule. Eine Pest- bzw. Mariensäule (errichtet 1680) und ein Pranger, sowie zwei Brunnen aus dem Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts. Einer mit einem Löwen, der das Stadtwappen hält und der andere mit einer Frauengestalt.
